Culvert Policy
For a driveway entering a township road, the applicable landowner is responsible for the installation and maintenance of culverts passing under said driveway, except in the following two cases:
- the township road foreman directs ditching or road work which renders the installed culvert(s) under said driveway ineffective. The township will repair or replace such culvert(s) at township expense.
- the township establishes an easement with the landowner for a turnaround, where the easement includes the area of said driveway under which one or more culverts are located. The township takes responsibility for the maintenance of such culvert(s).
