Planning and Zoning Minutes

To help clarify the process and reduce confusion regarding Planning and Zoning (P&Z) meeting minutes, the following outlines how minutes are created and approved:

At each P&Z meeting, an individual is assigned to take notes. These notes are later reviewed alongside the official meeting recording to ensure accuracy. A draft version of the minutes is then prepared. This draft is made available for public review at the next P&Z meeting. During that meeting, the committee reviews the minutes for accuracy and discusses any necessary corrections. If no changes are required—or once any revisions have been made—a motion is brought forward and voted on to approve the minutes. Once approved, the minutes are considered final. They are then uploaded to the website as part of the official public record. Minutes are not published prior to the following meeting because they have not yet been formally approved by the committee. Revisions are often necessary, which is why the review and approval process is required before they are finalized and posted.

ZOOM NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME:  The meetings are in person at Town Hall.  This will be a hybrid meeting where people may attend in-person and there may also be a Zoom option.  See the ZOOM link below.  As a courtesy, we do our best to provide access via  Zoom as well.  Note that the internet can be unreliable and if the meeting is critical, attending in person at the Town Hall is the appropriate way to participate.
